Good morning, Senator Amidala. How are you doing this bright and beautiful day? the older man, who was sitting at the Security desk of the Senate Building asked Padme, as she came up to the table and signed in.
Morning Vlad. I am doing great and how are you doing? Yes, it is a beautiful day. Padme finished signing in, before walking over through the scanners and the X-ray machine.
I am doing great. You have a great day, Senator. the older man waved for Padme to go through the scanner and X-ray.
Padme went through security, walked over to the turbo-lift and pushed the button.
We are going to be in the Session all day today. For lunch, we can go to the restaurant here in the building Dorme came up to Padme, just as the doors on the lift opened up.
Ok, that sounds like a great idea. Oh, can you please get all the things that will be in the Senate today? I just hope that we can get a lot done today and not be interrupted by the Trade Federation. Padme stepped onto the lift and Dorme followed her.
Yes, Milady. I have most of the items done. All I really have to do now, is make copies. Dorme stood next to Padme, as a couple of other Senators came onto the lift.
Morning, Senator Amidala. One of the Senators nodded to Padme.
Morning, Senator Bibo. Padme returning the older mans greeting.
The lift stopped, the doors opened up and the small group stepped off the lift and went in opposite directions. Padme and Dorme walked down the hallway and came up to door of her office. Dorme unlocked the door and they both walked right into the room.
Lights on and shades up. Dorme called out to the computer. The lights came on and the private shades began to move upwards.
Padme unlocked the doors to her office and walked into the room.
Lights on. Padme called out and the lights came on.
Going to her desk and sitting down behind it, she began reading over some of the things that will be brought up in the Senate today. If not, she hoped they will come up if they get around to them.
Hey, am going to make copies of all of these and I will be right back in about ten to fifteen minutes. Dorme stepped into the door way.
Ok, and could you go down to the restaurant and pick up a pastry for me please? I really do need something sweet. That is, after you make copies, of course. Padme saw the tablet in Dormes hand and she knew that she was about to head out to the copy room.
Ok. What kind of pastry would you like? Would you also like to have some Caf or tea with that pastry? Dorme nodded. She pulled out her styles, so she could take notes on what kind of pastry she and Padme wanted.
It really does not matter, just as long as it is sweet. I would like to have tea, please. Padme nodded, then watched Dorme write her order, turn and leave the office, so she can do the copies, before getting the food and teas.
Ten minutes later, Padme was still going over the last items, when she felt a presence coming into the waiting room of her office. A huge smile came across her face.
You know, you do not have to stay out there, Anakin. Padme called out to the person, who was in the waiting room.
How did you know that I was out here in the waiting room? Anakin stepped into the office.
I could sense your presence. So, what brings you here? Padme smiled at Anakin, as she watched him come closer to her desk.
Damn, that means I cannot sneak up on you. Anakin stopped right in front of the desk. He looked down at Padme and gave her a mischievous smile.
That is right. You will not be able to sneak up on me. So, what are you doing here today? Padme got up from her chair and came up to Anakin.
Well, Obi-Wan, and Masters Yoda and Windu and even myself are here to sit in on the Senate Session today. I just wanted to stop by, say hello and see how you are doin. There is really one thing that I want to do, and that is to give you a hug and kiss. Anakin reached out and gently pulled Padme into his arms.
Am all yours for the moment. I really want to feel your arms around me and your lips on mine. Padme put her arms around Anakins waist and pushed him closer to her, so she could feel what she is doing to him.
Anakin lowered his head and he felt his lips gently connect with Padmes soft and smooth lips.
I love you and I really miss you, Ani. Do you think that you can come to my apartment and have dinner with me? Even stay the night with me too? Padme pulled back just a little bit, so she can look up at him.
I love you too, my sweet Angel. I miss you so very much too. Yes, I will have dinner with you, stay with you and hold you all through the night, in my arms. Anakin looked down, before he leaned his head downward again and began kissing Padme again.
Skywalker, it is time for us to head to the Senate Chamber . . . What the . . . ! Master Windu came into the, that was when he saw the couple in a very passionate kiss.
Master Windu, um . . . can I help you? Padme moved away from Anakin and saw the Jedi Master standing in the doorway.
Senator Amidala, I just came by to get Anakin. We need to go to the Senate Chamber. Anakin, when we get back to the Temple, we will talk about you staying in the Jedi Order. At the moment, we have other business to tend to. Windu gave Anakin a warning look, as to not to say anything.
The only thing that Anakin could do was just nod to the Jedi Master. Then, he looked back at Padme and saw her nod to him. As he turned back to Master Windu, he saw Master Yoda, and to his surprise, the little green creature just gave him a smile. They left the office and went to the Senate Chamber.
Six hours later, Anakin showed up at Padmes. The only thing he could say, is that he is now waiting to hear what the Council will do to him. That night, Padme got her wish: to sleep in her husbands arms.
